1. What do you look for when suggesting suitable nail treatments for clients?


“As a press on business I do offer cuticle oils that help manage dry cuticles that most men/women often face troubles with. I've had many customers ask how to have a "perfect nail selfie" and I recommend my cuticle oil! I use to have horrible hang nails before becoming a nail technician and I used to just pick it off or use a nail cutter to remove. Using cuticle oil also helps with hang nails and helps your overall nail growth & health. Definitely a secret weapon to nail beauty.”




2. How do you keep abreast of the latest nail products, trends, and techniques?


“I keep an eye out on my fellow nail tech sisters, tiktoks ,and my instagram explore page. I love connecting with my community to see whats trending. Its hard to hop on a trend because as fast as they come, they go quickly so you have to really jump on it no hesitations.”


3. What’s the day to day duties of a nail technician?


“Nail technicians really are sooo over looked but i think with time our reputation as a community has grown so much. People don't really think about how much nail techs have to do on a daily basis. When I use to work on my salon before my business there were a few daily things you have to do. Sanitation, customer booking organization, and making sure you eat and drink plenty of water ( thats a big one).

As a small business owner I found my daily duties have changed drastically. My day to day duties require more attention. There's customer support, daily work load, supply management, daily shipments, and much more.”




4. What are your strengths?


“My strengths are my attentive communication with my customers. If you ask anyone who's had any issues in the past they would tell you my turn around time is very fast. I like to fix and resolve any issues immediately even if its past working hours. Another great strength of mine is my hustle. I work from morning to night, and I literally can't stop until I reach my goals of the day.”


5. After a few years, what do you plan on doing?


“I have a few things brewing in the moment, my biggest plan is to open up my own salon ( but have my press on nail business still up and running of course!) in the next few years. Also to add more assistants to my team ( I have one now and she’s amazing!)”
