let the flower of truth naturally grow

give you 90 cents, take a dime for you

admires those finest lines on you

understands his way to come around to you

cause life’s too short to love halfway

cause it’s too hard to fake a smile, show your sad face

cause to show your hand, someone feels like they’re risking their man

cause it’s more to understand than to just understand

is he my man’s

well he applies grace to his action & plan

well if anyone knows how to touch he can

well God said he cool to stay with, no one night stands

just to be sure, i’ll ask again

is he my man’s

i don’t apologize for incoming hips & thighs

i don’t apologize for the depth of my eyes

i don’t apologize for refunding the lies

i don’t apologize for stepping aside

i was born black

i am more than that

i am the truth if it had a body

my kids will be the facts"
