KTTK: I Can't Read Your Mind

Here we are in 2021 & it's still hard for women to understand men and men to understand women. Without context, everything is left up to the WAY you say it. It's open season for how you meant it and how it might make someone feel. Thank God for the person who invented emojis. Smiley Face ;) IF YOU HAVE READ PARTS 1-3, I HIGHLY RECOMMEND YOU DO!

Here's Part Four of Keys to the Kingdom.

10. EXPRESS YOURSELF: Nobody can read your mind. You may sound angry, happy, joyful, or sad all in the same post. When you're creating captions that you want to have a meaningful impact, emojis can help. That doesn't mean use 50 emojis but create a feeling of personality. This will help to set the tone for your message, give the reader a sense of your emotions, and eliminate any mixed emotions from what you're saying!

11. TOO HASHTAG HAPPY?: STOP IT WITH THE 30 HASHTAGS PLEASE!!! Did you know too many hashtags means you could possibly have less engagement? The way Instagram's algorithm is set up makes it seem like you're a fake or spam account because that's typically what they do. Be smart & purposeful about using your hashtags!

12. GETTING NOTICED: In 2021, videos are going to get you views. Think about your daily habits. Are you more likely to watch a video or look a post for 15 seconds? EXACTLY. 82% of internet traffic comes from video content. This doesn't mean throw away your graphics or post less of them, it means take that same graphic, add a few sprinkles to it and use it as a video as well. All of your content is not going to hit the same on every platform so keep an eye on your numbers (engagement, reach, likes, follows, etc.) and you'll be able to tell where your magic is coming from. All this won't mean anything if your content is not HIGH QUALITY.

I don't mean hiring someone to throw glitter letters, glowing text, and pictures with no background on a flyer for you. I mean content that ACTUALLY ties to your brand! Making sure your content matches what you stand for is also a key to good branding. Graphics don't always have to have EVERYTHING UNDER THE SUN on them. Sometimes less is more and it makes everything look more professional as a whole.

I hope all these gems have been helpful in teaching you some new things, helping you fix what you didn't even realize was broken, and help to grow your business! - LEX
